Your wedding day will be one of the most important days of your lives, so it is understandable that you may have some questions for me.

Please find below some of the most frequently asked questions I receive. Should there be something that is not listed below I will be more than happy to answer your questions at any time.

Why should you choose Ryan Browne Photography? 

I studied as a fashion photographer whilst at college. Since then I have worked within the sports news market utilising my photo-journalistic style to achieve nationally acclaimed images. The skills I gained whilst working with models and the fast pace of sporting events means I do not miss much if its going on in front of me! Now with 17 years of documentary wedding photography under my belt I will ensure all the key moments of your day will be captured, from the application of the bride’s make-up through to the first dance. All will be recorded with minimal fuss, and the upmost discretion.

Where are you located, and do you charge travel costs?

I will travel anywhere for your big day. I am based in South Yorkshire, ten minutes off the M1 and the A1. Weddings within a 75 mile radius will not incur any costs, however, over sea’s travel and weddings that are further afield will be incur travel costs.

How many photographers will
there be covering our wedding?

All the beautiful images you see on my website have been captured by myself. The discreet unobtrusive way I go about covering your day it is not necessary to have more than one photographer. Having said that sometimes with Weddings in excess of 450 guests it can be advantageous to have a second on hand to assist me and have a second pair of eyes covering things that I can not. This can be discussed and quoted for upon request.


Absolutely not, when documenting the day I rarely ever use flash preffering to remain as discreet as possible, nearly all ceremonies I have covered flash has never been allowed. My cameras are fantastic in low light allowing me to capture those special moments however dark it may be. 

What equipment do you use?

I use top-of-the-range Nikon DSLR cameras with a selection of different lenses to give me the best options possible to cover your day, I also have backup cameras to hand just in case. I also have with me a selection of studio lighting equipment just in case we have to do formal shots indoors and also for the after-dark shots that I create.

Do you photograph "Formal" or group shots?

Though I work in a photojournalistic style, all the memories of the day would not be complete without the odd group shot. I provide some information sheets prior to the day so you can list any group photographs that you may want and also any other events you may have planned for the day. I try and get these shot as quickly as possible, with each shot taking around 3 minutes ( providing everyone is present) I will often call on the Best Man and Ushers to gather the appropriate guests for these shots, ensuring that this is done in the quickest possible time enabling you to get on and enjoy yourself.

Does Ryan Browne Photography have all the necessary insurances?

I am fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity insurance and more than happy to to provide your wedding planner or coordinator with any documents they may require

How do we book?

Enquiries can be made by completing my enquiry form or by calling 07717572770. Appointments can be made to meet me, and of course, without obligation. A non-refundable booking fee of £450 is required at the time of booking in order to secure the day, and the remainder of the balance is payable four weeks prior to the wedding. Until the booking fee is paid, the day is not secure.

Do you offer album packages and prints?

I display my work in the finest albums from around the World manufactured by Queensberry of New Zealand and Graphistudio of Italy and prints and wall art are available through your online gallery.

If you would like to arrange a meeting to view the stunning range of albums I offer please do get in touch.

How do we view our images?

Your wedding images will be available to view within a maximum of four weeks of your wedding day within your own online gallery. Within your image gallery, a secure on-line payment facility is available for your families and guests to order prints and wall art directly to themselves. All images are available in this way for one year from the month of the wedding. 

How long will our album take to be produced?

Within 4 weeks of your wedding day your online gallery will be made available to you. Where ever you are in the world you will be able to log in and relive the great day you had. Images can be viewed large within the gallery where you will be able to select your favourite images. Once chosen I will then take your selection and design a fantastic wedding album for you. If you do not have time to do this I offer a design service where I would choose the images and provide you with a timeless keepsake of your special day. Album’s normally take around 8 weeks to be back with you once you have approved the design, quite often sooner than this depending on the time of year.
